1st Grade Summer Reading List

Greater Atlanta Christian School expects all students to read during the summer. Parents are encouraged to participate in this process by reading aloud. Students entering 1st Grade should read (or have read to them) at least ten (10) books during the summer.

Specific titles are not required for the first graders. However, parents are encouraged to help their child select quality literature for their summer reading. Several web sites are listed as resources to help you find excellent books. Also, the public library and many local bookstores are also wonderful sources of information and they will be eager to help you find books that match your child’s interests.
